LMV – An Introduction

The School

Lalitpur Madhyamik Vidyalaya (LMV) was founded by a board of five members who were among the founders of Lalitpur Coaching Institute. After about three years of operation of the coaching institute, the school came into existence as a registered institution from 1982 A.D. Since 1984 the school has been serving and producing S.E.E graduates regularly. The school was registered as an Educational Trust at the Education Department in October 2003. At present, the school has about 1000 students in the classes from Play Group to X and a total of 80 staff members. The school has been running in a co-educational pattern and the medium of instruction is entirely English except for Nepali and Samajik subjects.

With its highly productive and inspiring functioning of about 4 decades, LMV has been striving to make remarkable contribution to the education sector of Nepal. We have an unwavering commitment to support the nation in the production of competent human resources, and have been restlessly and almost relentlessly engaged in faciliting the multidimensional development of our students. The academic and professional success of our products in national and international levels vividly reflects the productivity of our efforts. Adoption of progressive pedagogical approaches incorporating a wide range of co-curricular activities and the participation of all the students in one or the other activities set us apart from the crowd of schools.

 Evaluation:

Each academic session is divided into three terms to evaluate the progress of the students through term examinations and other co-curricular activities. All the records of the activities and the grades are entered monthly in each student’s personal file. Parents are requested to check their children’s diary for their performance in monthly tests. Report cards are prepared after each term. Parents are requested to come to the school to collect the report cards. We suggest the parents to visit the school frequently to know your children’s performance and progress. The parents should feel free to meet the Principal, the class teachers and the subject teachers in case of any queries.
